A day at the beach hosted by Franziska and Tim Cordts, Cordts Art Foundation
The Utopienale is an annual conference where international artists, scientists, and activists discuss their views on the future at the Old School ICA in Havelberg. For the first time this year, this conference will take place at various locations in Berlin. This Exile of the Conference fits with our lead topic, “Exile.” During the day in Schwanenwerder, guests will be invited to present their work and their personal utopias. These personal utopias will be discussed in conversations throughout the day. It is not an academic event, but rather aims to present individual ideas and visions, and ideally, to inspire their realization. As the venue is located directly on Lake Wannsee, guests are welcome to bring their swimsuits and sunscreen for a day at the beach.
Guest of the Utopienale at this event are: Gaston Meskens: Philosopher, Scientist and Artist, Antwerp; Azby Brown: Activist, Scientist and Artist, Yokohama; Martina Gross- Georgi: Architect, and Set Designer, Berlin; Norma Drimmer: Artist, Philosopher and Artist, Berlin; Gerald Walter: Activist and Scientist, Leipzig; Natalia Vatsadze: Activist & Artist Group Bouillon, Tbilisi; Susanna Lauterbach: Artist & Professor for Arts, Berlin; Yair Avivi: Artist, Designer, Berlin-Tel Aviv; Kostiantyn Doroschenko: Curator, Writer, Berlin-Kyiv; Stefan Roemer: Artist, Philosopher and Filmmaker, Berlin; Dana Laszlo da Costa: Artist, Leipzig; Anna Chistoserdova: Curator, Founder of the network CEC Artslink, Berlin; Maxi Bröcking: Musician, Writer and Performer; additional guests of Franziska and Tim Cordts.
